Basecamp for the Week

How are Trailmen grouped?

Every Trailman is assigned to a Team for the week. Your Team becomes your camp family—you'll camp together, travel together, compete together, and build friendships all week long.

Within each Team, Trailmen are divided into smaller Crews for activities. Smaller Crews make it easier for everyone to participate in hands-on experiences like marksmanship, motorcycle building, and other experiences without long waits.

Coming with your troop?

We'll keep troops and existing patrols together whenever possible. We know those friendships matter, and our goal is to preserve them while balancing Team sizes. Some Teams may include individual Trailmen from other troops so that every boy has a place to belong from the moment he arrives.

Coming by yourself?

You're not signing up to camp alone.

Before Summer Adventure begins, you'll be assigned to a Team and Crew. Your Team Leader will contact you before camp to help you get connected, answer questions, and coordinate practical details like campsite arrangements, meal planning, cooking groups, and duty rosters. When you arrive on Sunday, you'll already know exactly where you belong.

Many Trailmen will arrive knowing no one else. By the end of the week, they'll have friends from across the South Central Region.

Whether you attend with your entire troop or register on your own, you'll have a Team to cheer for, a Crew to belong to, and a place around the campfire.
