Trail Life Cup
Go faster. Dig deeper. Rise to the next level.
Feel the banking. Feel the speed. Feel Talladega.
Adventurers won’t just see Talladega Superspeedway—they’ll experience it from inside a pace car.
Climb aboard for a high-speed ride around NASCAR’s biggest track and feel what 33 degrees of banking really means from the passenger seat. From the frontstretch to the tri-oval, this is the closest most fans will ever get to experiencing Talladega the way the drivers do.
It’s fast, loud, unforgettable—and built to be one of the signature experiences of the Trail Life Cup.
STRAP IN. CLIMB THE BANKING. FEEL THE ADRENALINE.
Walk through the history of speed.
Get up close to the cars, motorcycles, engines, and personalities that helped shape motorsports at the International Motorsports Hall of Fame.
Navigators will explore decades of racing history, from NASCAR and stock cars to open-wheel racing, motorcycles, land-speed records, and more. See legendary machines, discover how racing technology has evolved, and meet the innovators and competitors whose pursuit of speed changed the sport forever.
SEE THE MACHINES. DISCOVER THE LEGENDS. EXPERIENCE RACING HISTORY.
Head to head. Wheel to wheel. Real racing.
Strap into a high-performance electric kart and take on your fellow Trailmen at K1 Speed.
Every driver gets his shot at the clock. Lap times—not finishing order—determine who is fastest. At the end of the week, the three fastest drivers in each kart class will take their places on the podium and earn Track & Trail racing awards. Every completed race also earns points toward the Trail Life Cup Championship.
STRAP IN. FIND YOUR LINE. CHASE THE CLOCK.
Don't just build it. Figure out why it won't run, then fix it.
Explore Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum, home to the world’s largest motorcycle collection and more than a century of engineering, innovation, and racing history.
Then take the next step with Diagnose-A-Bike. Adventurers will put their mechanical knowledge to work on a motorcycle with real problems—examining its systems, identifying faults, and working through the troubleshooting process to determine what’s wrong.
It’s not about simply assembling the pieces. It’s about understanding how the machine works well enough to figure out why it doesn’t.
INSPECT THE SYSTEMS. FIND THE PROBLEM. SOLVE THE MACHINE.
See what it takes to bring a classic back to life.
Explore Classic Car Motoring, where incredible cars are undergoing restoration. See craftsman in action in bodywork, paint, interior, and drivetrain, and discover how specialized skills come together to return a classic automobile to the road.
SEE THE CRAFT. MEET THE MACHINES. WATCH CLASSICS COME BACK TO LIFE.
Build the skills. Earn the shot.
Learn the fundamentals of safe, responsible rifle shooting under the supervision of qualified range staff. Trailmen will learn firearm safety, range commands, shooting positions, sight alignment, trigger control, and other fundamentals before putting those skills into practice on the range.
Adventurers can make progress toward the Rifle Trail Badge. On Final Lap Friday, Trailmen can sign up for additional shooting and competition, including the SHSP 101: Marksmanship Freedom Experience.
LEARN THE FUNDAMENTALS. TAKE YOUR POSITION. HIT YOUR MARK.
Step up to the forge and learn one of humanity's oldest crafts. Trailmen will learn blacksmithing safety, tools, metals, and basic forging techniques before heating steel and shaping projects of their own.
Use bends, twists, drawing, and other traditional techniques to forge projects you can actually take home. The centerpiece is a steel nail and copper cross necklace—a handmade reminder of the week and the faith at the center of Trail Life.
Track & Trail Blacksmithing programming can complete the requirements for the Blacksmithing Trail Badge, with an additional session available on Final Lap Friday for Trailmen who need it.
HEAT THE STEEL. SWING THE HAMMER. FORGE SOMETHING LASTING.
When the sun goes down, the adventure keeps going. Crews will take the field for NightOps Laser Tag, battling through inflatable bunkers in fast-paced missions like Capture the Flag, VIP, Domination, Zombies, and more. With game coaches running the action and multiple scenarios to tackle, NightOps turns an ordinary evening at camp into a glowing, high-energy battlefield where teamwork, strategy, and quick thinking rule the night.
OWN THE NIGHT. WORK THE MISSION. LEAD YOUR CREW.
We are looking for Adventurers to lead Freedom Projects that will improve Camp Lone Eagle for years to come and put more adventure in Track & Trail. If you're interested in leading one of these for your Freedom Award, please contact us.
